Kyarks, If two lines are different, they can only intersect at one point. That point is the solution. I like what Samsax adds. If the lines don't intesect, there is no solution. The key is to graph and look for the intersection of the lines.

Infinite or NO solutions?
No solutions means that the two lines are parallel.

A system with infinite solutions have the same slope and are identical.

You would find the points where the two lines intersect. If the lines are parallel, there is NO solution. If the lines are identical, there are INFINITE solutions.
